I was prescribed Norethisterone for a heavy period already in full flow (I've been suffering from horrible side effects from blood loss over the last cycles). However, I'm scared of the side effects as I have a family history of clotting. My period hasn't stopped, it's already most of the way through in terms of usual but I hope slowing (2.5 days in). My question is, if the cycle tapers off/going to brown can I stop the course before the end of the 10 days to lessen the chances of side effects continuing on it? (Maybe at 3-5 days?) Or taper off to 1 pill/day?
