Sinusitis and bitter taste in mouth

Anyone know what the best way to get rid of the horrible bitter taste (I assume from post nasal drip) from sinusitis? I struggle a bit with sinuses generally and they have been infected quite a few times, but the bad taste has just come in the last couple of bouts of it and is driving me a bit mad! Thanks

Have you been to the GP about this? You might need antibiotics or steroids. If it was a one-off, I’d suggest a good decongestant , but if it’s chronic it needs to be investigated first.

Thanks. I’ve been to the GP in the past and keen not to have antibiotics right now (partly because I had surgery a few weeks ago for something entirely separate and ended up with them for an infection). I’ve actually seen an ENT in the past who gave me a steroid spray to use for 3 months plus another nasal spray. Seemed to nip it in the bud for a bit but it’s back. Tbh ENT seemed very dismissive, and so not keen to see one again. I might need to do something at some point though, it also seems to be affecting my ears and have had on/off ringing in them for the first time with sinusitis this time and generally they feel clogged (maybe syringing or whatever the modern alternative is!)
