Has anyone tried hypnotherapy?

I have a session booked and don’t really know what to expect. Have tried lots of things over the years, but this is an attempt to go a little deeper. Talking therapies don’t seem to have got to the root of my troubles.

Any testimonies appreciated!

@Eyesopenwideawake treated me last year via Zoom for issues relating to family relationships and it worked well. I would recommend to anyone who is struggling with emotional triggers.

So I had my sesh this morning. I was wired when I arrived so we did some tapping & relaxation to start with. After that a long exploratory chat, lots of questions to find out about me & what I wanted to get out of it. I have been very specific in what I want to achieve (not a phobia or bad habit) but it may be a bit complex and probably will involve a few sessions.
The last half hour was a deeper relaxation, lying down with crystals & hot stones which was lovely. My mind was a bit busy still so I relaxed but not as much as I wanted to.
Does this sort of thing take practice?
Anyhow she is going to make a personalised programme for me which she’ll send me the details of and to see if I’m happy to proceed with it.
Does this sound typical of a first session?

@hypsto hey! I just had my second session for anxiety! In mine i was soooo relaxed couldnt feel my body i felt as if i was floating! She said i was nodding and smiling at the positive things! I have already noticed , i am ocd about dishes and things being done. I stress so much over little things. I have left the dishes for the last 4 days and done them when i wanted to. Ive been more chilled, im due on my period and im normally a mess! I forgot i was even due on! X
