Passing debris in urine not kidney stones (warning pic for description)

I am undergoing tests for ongoing episodes of renal colic like pain in right side which spreads to uretor area.
I had an ultrasound which revealed a slightly swollen kidney.
A CT scan which didn’t detect anything but did note a swollen uterus with prominent blood vessels.
My GP was convinced must be kidney stones after started passing the debris in urine and with the pain/location was experiencing.
urologist seems stumped, he is referring me for investigation of bladder and to a gynaecologist.
The spasms episodes/ debris happened every couple of days to start with and has now settled to 1x week with constant ache in right side.
periods were regular until end of July when had a 16 day cycle and then not had a period since.
It’s so scary experiencing these epidsodes and noone knows what it is.

Same here, I’d also had a little blood in my water, which scared me. So my GP did urine cytology, which was clear, and today I found out that my CT scan of kidneys/bladder/urethra showed no abnormalities.

So whilst I’m mega relieved nothing sinister was detected, I’m now scratching my head. My GP did mention that debris in urine can also be a sign of a urine infection and I have always been prone to those

Are your symptoms still ongoing? The renal colic like episodes I have been experiencing are really frightening when they happen. My heart rate starts going up and down and feels like uretors area going into spasm. Pain radiates into right hip.
First happened after a short flight, went to A&E they said I had a slightly swollen kidney and an infection but that wasn’t showing in lab at home 5 days later even though symptoms persisted. I’d had symptoms of infection months prior on and off but no sample was positive.

The pain in my kidneys comes and goes, I had wondered if it was trapped wind but having had regular UTIs for years, I wasn’t convinced. I’ve had 2 infections in the last few months, they both responded to antibiotics but no infection was found by the lab (but this is not unusual for me). I have also had 2/3 incidents of blood in my water.

But the pain is niggly, not excruciating.

I definitely began to feel better with the antibiotics for the first couple of days then went downhill again. Then back at home was prescribed a different course of 3 days. I felt so ill then thought no way would a 3 day course help, but I did feel better and still do. However the pain still continues and the episodes come out of nowhere. I do notice the amount of grey debris getting less each time. It’s driving me crazy wondering what it is now kidney stones have been ruled out.
The Dr is going to prescribe a longer term antibiotic to see if that helps, I will ask about a cytology. There hasn’t actually been a sample sent away since the beginning of September.

I wouldn’t describe my pain as excruciating either not in the way most people describe kidney stones. It’s more a painful deep cramping that comes in waves when it starts up can go on for hours. A bit like contractions really.

My kidney stone was excruciating but it also came in waves.
My stone was big, basically bouncing around, I was hospitalised.
My Dfriend, however, had symptoms like yours, cramping that came in waves, not excruciating and she described her urine as looking like it had pepper sprinkled in it.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if you've had a kidney stone.
A year on and I still get an ache in my kidney area, I was supposed to got to the urology dept for after care but I went to the wrong hospital 😂 so didn't bother going again, local hospital doesn't have a urology dept

I’m wondering that myself. My GP seen the picture and was convinced sludge from kidney stones but none were found. I had some sharp pain in kidney the night before a flight. Around 3 weeks before that had frequent urination being investigated. Then had shaking, waves of pain episode after a flight which went on for hours every 20 mins or so.
But puzzled why would still be passing this and nothing on scan.
