Posting in health as well as chat hoping to catch someone more informed than myself!

Blood test last week for intrinsic factor antibodies as I have a lot of symptoms that fit with pernicious anemia, and a family history of PA. Total B12 levels were normal (399) but GP reluctantly agreed to request the IF test because of the family history. I can now see the result in the NHS app.

I was under the impression (entirely from Google so aware I might be completely wrong!) that any presence of IF antibodies was indicative of PA, but this seems to suggest otherwise and that a certain level is to be expected? Can anyone help me understand whether this is a positive or negative result?

If your B12 is normal and this is in the normal range you don't have pernicious anaemia
