Taking iron - how soon might I feel results?

On another thread (or several) I saw Spatone iron water recomended for tiredness. I have been worn out for years now, sleep disrupted and am post menopause. I'm generally sceptical of supplements, but am working my way through a few trials to see if there are any changes eg magnesium. Has anyone tried the iron water and if so when did you see/feel any difference, if at all?

Have you had your ferritin checked? You need bloods for full thyroid, ferritin, folate, vit b and d etc to see if any are causing the tiredness. Spatone is way too low to help with low ferritin, you need ferrous sulphate or fumerate which you can get otc but get your bloods tested first.

Ive had blood tests, several, nothing was reported back to me except that my potassium was a bit low but nothing to worry about.

Do you know the actual results? Ferritin is often marked ok when it is much lower than optimal

"Serum ferritin level 90.8 ng/mL (Range: 13 - 300)"

Alongside lots of other lists of things. Ferritein only seems to have been listed the once though, years agi, in spite of more recent tests.

I'm on low dose iron, dose is low due to kidney issues. I've been on them for about a month. I don't notice if I've taken them but if I take one late I notice it.
