I am pretty sure the butter i had yesterday was off, and ended up with the worse cramps ever, is it normal to get such bad stomach cramps after eating something dodgy? i was sick too, and today i feel like someone has kicked me in the stomach about 20 times.

It was awful

Eek. Poor thing

I had similar a few weeks ago, after eating some undercooked kidney beans I think. It was agony all night, felt sick but wasn't - just was surprised at the pain!

I hope you feel better soon.

MrsJohnCusack · 03/06/2008 06:26

i had this the other night
was AWFUL, and yes, felt like labour pains. Ended in diarrohea for me
it was something I ate I'm sure, but I don'tknow what. am wondering if it was the sorbitol in the new kind of nurofen I took for my period pains and headaches. Totally grim

pucca · 03/06/2008 06:47

The thing is, there is nothing really to take is there for this type of thing.I feel ok now though, just tender.

It was my own fault really, as i have been keeping the butter in the cupboard to keep it soft, and it must have gone off. I only had a piece of toast..

I thought that once i had been sick it would wear off but it didn't, feels like i have done 1000 sit ups today lol.

Can't believe how much it felt like labour though, except with labour at least there is a nice ending to the pain

I had this pain when i ate butter kept soft in the cupboard..blamed it all the time until i was hospitalised with the pain (cause I was 37 weeks pregnant)..the pain was excrutiating and worse than labour pains but I could tell they were not labour pains...Turns out it was Gall bladder flare ups!!!!!...probably from the fat in the butter!!!!.still 3 years later dread it happening again. HTH

Poor pucca, have a good rest today.

MrsJohn is there ibuprofen in the neurofen? It can irritate your stomach lining and cause pain.

Weegiemum · 03/06/2008 09:05

nurofen is a propietry brand of ibuprofen. It can certainly irritate your stomach.

MrsJohnCusack · 03/06/2008 11:11

nurofen has never bothered me before, but this was a differnt capsule thingy that I've not had before - might be something to do with that. Yuk, it was awful

hope you are feeling better pucca
