I have had weirdy pregnancy/ibs type symptoms since Christmas, various blood tests etc all normal.

It suddenly occurred to me a few weeks back that it didn't really happen at weekends, and was worse the days I have oodles of coffee (tend not to drink it at home, hence the weekend thing), so decided to cut out coffee.

I had a few weeks pain and bloating clear.

I drank coffee around 23rd May as I figured I had period pains anyway, might as well enjoy some coffee!

Since then it has been happening after I have tea as well

I need to stop the tea don't I?

I feel your pain caffeine gives me mouth ulcers

SSSandy2 · 02/06/2008 20:30

poor you, I run on coffee. It's bad stuff though, isn't it? Gave it up once and felt SO much better, but fell back into the habit

TinkerbellesMum · 02/06/2008 20:39

Caffeine has started to give me heartburn I still have some but do try to limit it as much as possible. Mum drinks decaff as she reacts to it in a different way and I don't think the tea tastes any different. Every time I make tea at Mum's and anyone says anything against decaff I give it to them to see if they can tell and no one ever knows (even Dad who thinks decaff is disgusting).

I was ok when I thought it was coffee, but sulking about tea too.

If it is caffeine rather than coffee though then maybe decaf could work???

I find decaff vile. Tried it but I could only drink some expensive Italian one and even that was bleurgh. Rather go without myself

CantSleepWontSleep · 02/06/2008 20:43

Chocolate is stuffed with caffeine too you know.

Flamesparrow · 02/06/2008 20:48

I've not been a big chocolate fan for a while now, so not a big issue

I don't mind decaf too much, probably prefer fruit tea though
