HELP what is this on my areola

I'm breastfeeding my nearly 1 year old, we don't have any problems with our feeding at the moment, no biting or recent mastitis or anything like that. My nipples were normal when I went to bed but I was just feeding him on the right side and it was a bit sore when he touched the left one so I put my hand on it and it felt like I had two nipples. I ran to the bathroom as soon as I could get him off me and on my left areola I have a big spot. It's right on the outside edge of the areola where the Montgomery glands are so maybe an inflamed one of those? It's red and looks like a fluid filled thing, but doesn't have a white area or any kind of "head". It's the size of a small pea but only a little bit sore, not horrendous. What is this and what should I do?
