Suddenly quite short of breath

Hi

I have asthma but I had FENO test last week and all OK. My peak flow is OK too. I am on biologics.

Yesterday I noticed I was very breathless after taking DC to bed. So up and down the stairs. I then was very breathless talking afterwards and couldn't finish my dinner because I kept having to stop to catch my breath??

However if I stay very still I seem better and talking is easier then then say after the stairs.

Today is the same and it was very very noticeable at lunch because yet again I was having to pause to catch my breath?!

No cough. Any idea on what is going on? Could this be a chest infection? Low iron ? It's been quite sudden. I do have bloods today to check iron and some other things.

The eating thing has worried me as I've never experienced that, quite bizarre really.

Any experiences or something similar or input welcome.

Thanks!

OP shortness of breath can be nothing but can be a symptom of serious conditions like pulmonary embolism or heart failure. Please call 111 or speak to your GP. Its probably nothing but sudden onset shortness of breath always needs a professional opinion!
