Hi,
Just had an eye test and was asked if a family history of glaucoma as if so then she'd would recommend nhs yearly checks. Have since found out my dad is being treated for occular hypertension. Is this enough reason to get yearly checks or not so? I cant get through to the opticians.
Thanks x

Yes, definitely a very good reason to get yearly checks. Family history is a risk factor for glaucoma.
They can monitor your intraocular pressure and treat you if necessary. People with ocular hypertension are at risk of developing glaucoma, which can damage the optic nerve and lead to irreversible vision loss.
