for the past 6 weeks DD has been on 3 courses of antibiotics, her symptoms were grabbing herself down below, wanting frequent wee's where sometimes she can go sometimes she cant, holding herself before and after a wee, going for a wee pulling her pants up and then wanting to go again immediately after but producing nothing. Nursery too have mentioned she has seem irritable when sitting down & have also mentioned she grabs herself a lot. Doc has put her on antibiotics 3 times now. 3 urine samples (all taken before antibiotics started) have come back clear??? What could this mean??? They have also referred to a kidney specialist. Would a urine sample have showed up problems if she had a kidney infection????

tia for any help x

Has she had thrush treatment?

Are you using bubble bath in the bath - well known cause of vuval irritation.

Plus masturbation is a possibility. More obvious in boys who spend their whole lives with their hands down their trousers. A little more subtle in girls - wrigging; holding and a bit red-faced!

could swimming have anything to do with it? We have started to take her regularly and that may have coincided when this started come to think of it.....

You could try some live yoghurt and see if that gives her any relief, I wouldn't think it would do her any harm...
