A good friend was training for a charity bike ride from Budapest to Romania and came off his bike yesterday and has broken both elbows. In plaster from hand to shoulder as far as I know.

He is normally a very busy person and will not take kindly to be so incapacitated.

Any tips or suggestions for ways to make his (and more importantly his DW's!) life easier would be appreciated.

Obv he can't even wipe his own bum!!! His DW is already thanking God we are in Europe with bidets in every house!

Well for things to do talking books on CD and tape would be good
Sitting in the bath rather than showers is obviously the way to go hygiene wise
Can he feed himself?

His wife is fab and one of my best friends - am just looking for anything that others have come across to maybe make this time easier. They have 3 DCs - 10, 7 and 18 mths.

He will have lots of visitors but just wondering about practicalities really.
