Pain in lower left abdomen only in specific circumstances

I’m 57 years old. I’ve had undiagnosed pain in lower left abdomen around once or twice in 2-3 years for over 10 years now. Recently, the pain occurs when I’m stressed and have an empty stomach (if I delay lunch for example). If I eat fatty food when stressed and on an empty stomach, I get pain which is only relieved instantly after I throw up. GP has ordered a blood test and a FIT test. Does this sound like cancer? I thought it would be something to do with stomach acid but GP didn’t even mention acidity.

Is it pain in your stomach, or your gut? I’m wondering if it’s left, down above your hip, if it’s IBS because this can be stress related and you’ll be stressing too if you’ve linked missing lunch with the pain

Could it be diverticulitis?

It’s pain on the left below the belly button. Gut definitely or possibly ovaries/uterus. Definitely not stomach.

I did think of it. My symptoms seem more acidity related though if I were to sef-diagnose. I’m hoping it’s not the gut.
