Cerazette users - how typical does this sound?

My periods haveen all over the place since starting this pill nearly 9 months ago. I really don't know where I am with them.
I went over 3 months without one, then out of the blue I had a full on period for 3 days. This was about a week and a half back, then less than a week later I got some more light bleeding that only lasted a day, then I wake up this morning (days later) with that horrible crampy feeling, then go to the toilet & there is blood everywhere.
Really fed up with this. I go months without anything, and then it is non stop bleeding!!

This sounds like when I was on cerazette. The gaps between periods were anything from 45 days to 3 days. I had no idea when I was going to come on. I put up with it for 6 months then changed bakc to a combined pill that I had always got on with OK before.

My original GP had said I was too old for a combined pill (when she put me on cerazette) but then I went to see a different one & he was OK with it.

Everytime I go for a repeat prescrition I dread them saying I've got to choose something else!

I was told they will prescribe the combined pill after the age of 35, so long as there is no history of x y and z in the family, and made it all sound like I would be taking a risk. (I am 35)

The very fact she suddenly made me feel old, put me off in itself!!

Im already on the combined pill PC, ahve been for years now, they said they could change me to mini pill over my concern of increased appetite, but doc told me about eratic periods so i said no..he also said i may get No periods at all!..doesnt seem to be the case does it?!...anyway, they said to me, as my BMI is high and my mum has diabetes, if im still this oevrweight when i am 35 they wont give me this one anymore!..doc said so i could eat what i like for next 4 yrs as long as i lose stones weeks before my 35th birthday..all in jest i add, i liked his attitude

I was a little concerned about the health risks, seen as I am obviously over the hill now! Might have to think about the possibility of giving the combination pill a try though. This bleeding is really dragging me down. It is not just the bleeding, but the constant horrible dragging in your stomach, and I find it just brings my mood right down.
