When can I have my coil put back in

I'm currently pregnant and can't find out when I can have my coil put back in. Does anyone know?

I had a coil for about 5 years, which really worked for me. Had it removed, got pregnant (planned) and want to know when it can go back in again!

Thanks

N

I was told that the earliest they like to put them back in was 12 weeks - but as they like to do all the swabs first its worth going at around 7 weeks to get all that out of the way.

I had mine put in at 6 week check. Had v. good doc doing it. That's what matters!

To some degree, it depends on the method of your delivery. There is a lower risk of early expulsion if you have a C section.

I would put coils in from 6 weeks onwards, but always warn to be wary of it shifting or falling out under 12 weeks.
