They’ve probably had a cancellation and at least you don’t have weeks or months to worry!

I have had a couple of hard pea sized lumps and it’s always disappeared after about a week. I was checked and told it was a harmless cyst and luckily it hasn’t came back.

Good luck.

They’ve probably just had a cancellation - I was told six months recently for a non-urgent gynae referral but got a phone call three days later asking me if I could come in the following week.

I'm waiting for an urgent gynae referral myself, so I understand your anxiety. Your lump is most likely nothing to worry about, but it's great that they are seeing you so quickly as hopefully they can put your mind at rest.

The vast majority of urgent referrals turn out to be benign.

Thank you @Ohjoyohbliss sorry to hear your waiting on referral too i guess hindsight I should be grateful but I was just under illusion it was a routine referral an hoped maybe by time I got app lump would be gone its a strange little lump very tiny an when pressed on white but no head what's yours like?sorry tmi maybe but we're in same boat i guess xx

Any lump etc they put on the urgent referral pathway, the majority of people on the 2 week pathway don’t have cancer.

Mine is a "lesion" in my uterine cavity revealed by ultrasound scan, so a bit different. Good luck with yours.
