Pain in lower right abdomen last week, now in left side

Have seen 2 GPs. One last week said could be appendicitis but one today said because pain has largely gone I shouldn't worry about appendicitis but suggested getting bloods in case of ovarian/kidney issue. She said most likely colic.
Literally 2 hours after that appointment I've now got intermittent stabbing pain in lower left abdomen.
Going on holiday (long haul) on Tuesday.
Could this be related to cycle? (Period started yesterday. Never had it before.)
Basically I don't want appendix to burst on holiday - anything else I can deal with when I get home.
Never had gynae issues before. Is it common to get pains in both sides?
Doesn't affect pain when I press down, just sharp twinges (now sharp on left side but very mild on right side).
Any ideas?

I’m not a doctor.
did they dip your urine ?

No they didn't because I don't have any urine issues, no burning or blood.

I have literally just had my son in hospital for a whole month who had appendicitis. He was misdiagnosed with a urine infection. Operation was 4 hours and horrendous due to it being left. Go straight to a&e right now!

It can be bowel issues. Are things moving ok? How does it relate to when you last ate?

That’s surprising . I’d be pushing for them to do that at the very least.

Thanks all. The sharp twinges have gone (lasted a couple of hours) but still feel a bit tender. I was told appendicitis continues to get more painful and it's been over a week since the first pain. I was also told it would be painful when the doctor pressed down on tummy and it isn't.
