Anyone any experience with YAG vitreolysis?

So I have debilitating floaters in one eye and it drives me nuts. They are in the centre of my right eye so get in the way of reading - and doing anything really. I looked at paying privately for a vitrectomy but I am put off by constant mentions of ‘major surgery’ (I don’t understand how it’s major but it seemingly is). It’s also very expensive (about £6-7k per eye). A much cheaper option seems to be YAG vitreolysis which is laser surgery and done as an outpatient, taking around 30 mins and costing more like £1200 per eye. I can’t get a good idea of efficacy and recommendations online - anyone have any experience of this which they could impart?
