Lump on my gum after tooth extraction 7 weeks ago

I had two teeth out on upper right and ever since then I can feel a lump above the extraction site although I don’t see the lump. I figured it was just the area healing but every now and again I can feel a kind of ache behind my eye/head.

Is It possible to get an abcess when there is no tooth there.

Call your dentist's office and let them know they can better assist you.

An abcess is really really painful, so I don't think it's that.

As pp said ring your dentist, they will be able to advise you.
