Are flu like symptoms usual with chest infection?

I'm on anti-bioticss for a chest infection but feelin gmuch worse that when I vsited the docs. I've been in bed all day, only dragged myself out to have tablets and lemsip. I'm aching all over, very bad headache, blocked nose, shivering one minute, sweating the next, taking all my effort just to type this. Never had chest infection before. Are these symptoms usual? Not eaten since yeaterday but don't feel hungry. shou;d i try to eat something anyway or should i be starving a feever and all that? Anything else i can do? got no one to go shop/chemist for me

oh dear sounds awful. take your paracetamol regularly (every 4-6 hrs, but only 4 x in 24 hrs) because its the high temp thats making you feel like this. lemsip has paracetamol too, so take one or the other.

dont worry about eating, just drink plenty. if you do get peckish have soup, or something bland in case you are sick

Yes, I've got a cough, and very painful chest, but it's the flu symptome that are making me feel the worst. Will just carry on taking the lemsip.

Off back to bed now !
