is there anything I can give dd to relieve symptoms of MMR?

after much indecision, i have finally agreed for dd to have her MMR tomorrow. Is there anything i can give her either before or after to minimise any negative side effects? She hasn't reacted to any of her previous vax but this one really worries me; do i just keep calpol and nurofen on stand-by?

TIA

Nurofen etc on standby as you say.

my ds had no ill effects apart from grumpiness about 4-6 days afterwards - no fever, redness, etc.

really? that's reassuring, thank you. will watch out for the grumpiness!

if she is going to have a reaction then 7 - 10 days after is a usual time

they can get a measles type rash

if your DD has been ok with previous vaccinations then no reason to think it will be any different for her tomorrow

thanks. i think i am porbably over-reacting because i'm still not entirely sure I have made the right decision. I will watch out for a rash, good to be prepared!
