Bite. Infection, redness spreading? (Photo TMI)

Hi all.

I have fucidin cream but I've noticed the redness in this bite (I think a bite!) has spread quite a bit now compared to 2 days ago. I felt rotten this morning with raised glands by my ears, and a bit run down. Is this likely connected or do I just keep using the cream? Prescription says use for 5 days.

Draw around the swelling with a permanent marker and compare again in the morning - if it's growing seek medical advice using the line to demonstrate the problem
