Meningitis C vaccination: what side effects are there?

DS has his meningitis C vaccination booked for tomorrow afternoon. I'm not sure when it's usually given in the UK, we were in France until a year or so ago and it's not routine there, we've only just figured out that he hasn't had it!

What side effects are there that we should look out for? It's been a long time since he's had a jab so I don't imagine he's going to be too pleased about it and I guess there's going to be screaming involved but is he likely to get a fever or be feeling under the weather for a few days as well? I'm just a bit concerned as it's his 3rd birthday on Wednesday and hoping he's not going to be too miserable! (particularly poor organisation on my part to get an appt the day before his bday, I know, but it was the only one available...)

Look at this...and read it

and this is on page 12

What side effects may be seen?

Mild side effects such as irritability, loss of appetite, pain, swelling, redness at the site of the injection and slightly raised temperature commonly occur, but are short-lived. No serious side effects have been reported that are specific to combined Hib/MenC vaccine.

Does this help?

Thanks gagarin - very helpful, I've bookmarked the link.
