Am just thinking about going swimming BUT had gynae op 10 weeks ago and a few weeks later went to a beautician to have pedicure and asked her when I could be waxed - down there - and she said 6 months!

Anyway am thinking of swapping running - which I can obviously do without flashing the golden virginia to the world - for swimming as I seem to lose fat quicker swimming - do I go and get waxed? Do I invest n a vest and shorts to swim in? Or do I just go and pretend that there is nothing wrong with having such an overgrown lady garden??

Can you not just trim and swim? I don't think a reputable beautician would wax you earlier than is recommended. Unless yours grow unusually low I would have thought that just trimming them with nail scissors would be ok until you can be waxed.

surely you could do your leg bits or whatever shows in a swimsuit, and just not do your actual fanjo
