Itchy head, think it’s the heat -anyone else ?

I’ve checked and no, I don’t have head-lice and anyway it’s only at the back of my head, above the nape and behind my ears. I’m sure it’s heat related as I can feel tiny bumps in there. I’ve got fine hair and my theory is that it’s trapping more warm air close to my scalp. It’s driving me absolutely mad with rage, I want to scratch wildly and relentlessly and it’s taking all my willpower and multiple distraction techniques stop myself !

I've had an itchy head too and also checked after getting paranoid about nits - I've also woken up in the night scratching my head but I'm not allergic to my shampoo or conditioner and don't use any hair products and I thought it was possibly the heat too, especially as I have really long hair and often put it in a loose side plait in this weather.

Today I’ve taken piriton to see if it helps - apparently it will if it’s heat- rash so I’ll let you know @AddictedToBooks

I have similar, in the same areas, dermatologist diagnosed scalp hyperseborrhea, said it’s likely caused by hormones going a bit haywire in menopause. Didn’t give me any treatment at the time but it seems to have settled down since I started HRT.

i tried the piriton and not much difference. @NoMumLeftBehindLizi’ve been on HRT for the last 10 years and never had this before now but, the heat seems to affect the stickinesss of my patches so I’m wondering if it is a slight hormonal change when they slip off and I don’t always notice straight away
