A bit yucky but have a period 2 weeks after my last one and it is v wierd...

Just to set the scene...normally have quite a long cycle of 30+days and since my last pregnancy my periods have been much lighter and more regular (DS now 3). I am 36.
We have only just started trying for our second child (ie in the last few days) and I had my last period 2 weeks ago (approx) but I started bleeding v big stringy clots during sunday evening and am still now. I feel fine otherwise but would appreciate anyones thoughts on this as am a bit concerned. Can't sleep as thinking about it so any MN advice v much appreicated. Thanks

strange one... don't some people have a bit of a bleed when they ovulate? Think I heard that on here so don't quote me on it, just an idea...

When you say you've just started trying, do you mean you've recently come off the pill? had a lot of clotty bleeding after stopping the pill (I was on Ovranette) - it lasted a couple of weeks I think (it was over 20 years ago though, so don't remember the details)
