They are both 18 months.

My friend's DD came out in spots on Saturday. DH took DS swimming with them the previous Tuesday, and they spent all day together the previous Saturday.

Please say no, we fly out on holiday on Thursday!!!

incubation period is 10 days before the spots come out so he may get them I am afraid.

Chickenpox is a highly contagious virus, with an incubation period of 15-20 days. Chickenpox is most contagious the day before the rash appears and until the blisters are all dry and crusted over

Sorry meant to add, I googled chicken pox and my previous post is what I came up with.

chickenpox info

Ooooh - thank you Mears - it says that

'You are infectious from about two days before the rash appears until roughly five days after. Therefore, you, or your child, should stay at home until all of the blisters have fully crusted over, and this usually happens 5-7 days after the first blister appears'

On that basis, we should be ok. Fingers crossed.

Thanks so much for all your responses
