Random bruise - burst ganglion!?? Finger numb..

I’ve had a ganglion (?) on this finger for years. Was playing cricket yesterday, took a catch nothing major just a bit of a sting (hardball) but today the finger is purple and the tip is going numb ocassionally. No pain.

Did my ganglion burst and I can just leave it??

Do I need medical advice??

I’ve had this many times. It’s a bruise. Should go away in a couple of days. I also get this when I clench my fists when having blood test. Obviously if it lingers after a few days get it looked at but generally it isn’t a problem.

You can leave it, although it will hurt like a MF. Spectacular bruise!

It’s weird as it doesn’t hurt at all!! The feeling has come back into the finger tip now so I’m less worried -
more confused

I’ve had this - mine was Achenbach syndrome. There was a thread about it in here a while ago, which is how I found out what it was! Google and see if it sounds like what you have.

Was going to say achenbach! But numbness at the tip you should get checked.
