HELP Spilled antibiotics on Sunday...Will DD be ok until tomorrow night??

Hi

Those who have had a baby with an ear infection will know that antibiotics should be regarded as pure gold.

My DD has been on it since Thursday night and I can see a major improvement as she is no longer screaming 24/7 (wheyhey).

However, today I stupidly tried to measure out her dose while she was excitedly playing near me and well she kicked the bottle and now I have neon yellow antibiotics decorating DD's walls and furniture.

I think I salvaged enough for todays 2 more doses, but with it being Sunday and me and DH having to work tomorrow I will not be able to get more until tomorrow afternoon so she will miss some doses.

Will this effect the dose cycle? Will she be in pain again? Do we have to start all over?

Should I even be worried about this?? haha

Can you try to get more? Some chemists are open for a short while on a sunday - if you contact them and explain the situation they may give you more of the antibiotic.

no you need more, cannot miss doses. ring pharmacy and explain.

you need more......take said bottle into pharmacy (there will be one open somewhere nearby, there has to be always one open on sundays or bank holidays for times such as these), and tell them what happened. they will most likely refill it for you.

I feel stpuid that I didn't think of this

I was only thinking of my GP in moment of panic. Ok yeah, someone must be open today!
