DD2 won't eat the "chews". I can't make sense of what's in the alternatives, and don't want to waste money trying to find something she won't reject as disgusting

Mackerel, sardines on toast, salmon etc

SmugColditz · 25/05/2008 09:33

Most children will eat smoked mackerel, it's VERY tasty.

efalex in tablet form.
they're really easy to swallow.
all the chews and liquids taste vile, ime.

The kids do eat plenty of salmon, sardines etc although more some weeks than others. My mum recommended the supplements to help calm DD2 down!

She's 4 - never swallowed a tablet before ... Not sure I could persuade her

they're like squidgy lozenges.
DS1 can't swallow other tablets, but managed these easily.

Dd tried one of those chews and announced it was like eating a tough old baked bean.

I just try to include some oily fish where possible.

I use the haliborange capsules and my kids love them, especially the blackcurrant flavour ones.

Aha! Brilliant, that's the answer I needed
