Would you see your GP or is it just the heat?

If you were me would you go to see your GP, or is it just the heat making me feel so ill?

I frequently get cholangitis, which is infection in my bile duct. I was taking permanent antibiotics but recently changed to taking a “rescue dose” when I am ill.

I last took antibiotics about 3 weeks ago but for the last fortnight I have been feeling really under the weather - woozy, light-headed, headachy, getting physically tired after the easiest of jobs around the house -I need to sit down and rest after just standing at the sink washing up. Everything is getting neglected because I feel too exhausted to exert any effort. I have persistent, but not severe, pain across my upper abdomen.

On Thursday I had a temperature of 38 degrees and was vomiting. By Friday my temp was back to normal and I’d stopped vomiting, but I now feel even more exhausted than I did before.

At the same time it is incredibly hot in this part of the country and I think almost everyone is feeling the heat’s effects.

I don’t want to waste my GPs time.

Absolutely NOT a waste of time. Make an appointment. I hope you feel better soon Flowers

With your history, and it being consistent over the last few weeks rather than only the last day or so, I'd make an appointment. Good luck.
