Inner thighs nerve pain - anyone experienced this?

Mazzie1964 · Now
I'm experiencing nerve pain in both inner thighs (shooting pain, burning, tingling, feeling of cold water on part of my leg and knee). This has been going on for 5 weeks. Whenever I move around the house it gets worse. Mainly a burning sensation when sitting.
3 weeks prior to the onset of nerve pain, had lower back problems. Have had an mri as they suspected cauda equina 4 weeks ago. 2 slight bulges but no nerve compression. And also the area of the disc bulges doesn't relate to inner thigh area.
Ibuprofen & paracetemol not doing anything.
Saw a physio last week who said it could be something pelvic related that is compressing my obturator nerve? Given me some gentle stretches but pain is very bad today.
My anxiety is off the scale which is obviously not helping anything (I have health anxiety anyway so ongoing nerve pain is making me really lose the plot). 5 weeks into this and feeling desperate.
Anyone else had similar symptoms. I just need to know what is causing this, considering paying to see a neurologist for more tests..

It's the disc bulges. I have similar and it can cause all kinds of nerve pains up and down legs, severe cramping (neurogenic claudication) and burning sensations. Ultimately there is nothing you can really do but carefully try and strengthen your back.

They won't go near you for surgery and you wouldn't want them to anyway as it can make things a lot worse.

I'd look to your seating. Sofa, car, dining table, office and see if anything needs improvements. Get out and walk as much as you can.

Thank you for replying. Is your pain inner thighs? I don't get any pain down the back of leg at all in the typical sciatic nerve pattern.
Am keeping moving and walking short distances every day, but feels like it is worsening.
