Antibiotics not working w/ mastitis, can infection migrate from other places eg teeth?

Hiya, can anyone reassure me please? I'm getting really worried.

Have had recent tooth problems, infection in the root etc, which was treated with antibiotics but the dentist said I may lose the tooth or have to have a bit of the root removed. It has calmed down but is still hurting mildly on and off.

Now I have mastitis, quite badly, am bfing - I was quite ill a few days ago, started ab's, they didn't work very well, it just started to calm down and now today it started in the other breast and I was getting a temp again. Only half way through ab's.
I rang Dr and got a different prescription as he thought it wasn't working.

I'm concerned that it is due to the lingering infection in my jaw, and until this is treated or got rid of, it will keep coming back?

Is this possible - I'm terrified that I'll be ill for the next few months until they can remove the tooth or do the operation.

Has anyone else had ab's fail with mastitis?

I'm not at all qualified to say this but I don't think it would have anything to do with your tooth.

It's horrible, I've had it a few times and I did learn it's very important to rest.

Ah, thanks - it's been awful the last few days, people kept turning up, asking me to do things, I haven't had a chance to stop - maybe that's why it hasn't got better.

I have 38 more large red pills to take, I'm really upset, find it so hard to take them and I was doing well with the other ones

I really do think if you can manage to relax and have a good sleep (that may be impossible, I do appreciate that! )you will feel a lot better.

I can get very silly and dramatic when I have only eaten chocolate cake all day...
