Hi,

Half of black scab lifted on the left, taken about 8 weeks, do you reckon the right side will take roughly same time? Just when dressing was last changed Monday the slight red edge wasn’t there but then the line at top is a little dry.

I may get into see a GP tomorrow as the DN was short staffed today I can’t get dressing changed until weekend.

Some of my family think I should have the foot up 24/7 and do no walking but I wonder if the walking is helping a little to add pressure on the wound when I have something on my feet.

Thank you for taking a look 🙈🙏

I’m not an expert but bumping this

That's quite a wound. You need to be asking your health professionals for advice, as they are the ones assessing it in person and will presumably know your medical history which could impact wound healing.

Generally speaking though, elevation is great for improved circulation to the area. But please ask your doctor.

Thank you, I’ve managed to put a fresh dressing on, I found a bit of Atrauman gorse. I got a rise and recliner type bed so will put my legs above heart and if a nurse can’t come at weekend (cancelled yesterday due to short staffed) my sister in law said she’d come. Thanks for looking it is better then what it was 6/7 weeks ago just had indigestion last night which felt a bit weird.

Got an appointment for later, feel it’s a waste of time, even the receptionist said it’s just cellulitis but the purple skin goes up my leg which is where the cellulitis is. I never had to pick off any old skin of the front of the foot.

That was bit of a waste of time still least I got to show it to the GP who maintains that PALS should operate some sort of are you satisfied with how we’ve handled your query. Failing that I should write my own letter to the hospital with specific questions and try to access my own records with the hospital.

But I also found I could drive my manual car 10 mins up the road (when needs must) so I might not have to lose it so that has got to be a massive achievement. 🙂 the GP couldn’t say whether it was right or wrong if I try to keep active.

Was just issued sleeping pills for 14 days but the GP’s ears pricked up when I mentioned about the hospitals attitude about weight loss injections and why it really is so important to try and get answers if it is entirely possible. I just can’t bare this situation happening again and want to protect myself so much.

How did you get the wound on your foot, did you have surgery. Your leg and foot are very swollen, is that a blister on the inside of your calf, has the wound care nurse, doctor or district nurse assessed it and made a plan. I don't know what the pals comment means or what happened at the hospital, I wouldn't drive and would be seeking medical attention, what caused it all in the first place, there's no wound showing on the 2nd photo.
