What is this sore little scab?!

I have a little scab on my shin. Been there a couple of weeks.

This morning it felt really sore and painful and I wondered if maybe there was an ingrown hair under the scab so I took the scab off (I know, I know!).

No ingrown hairs in there.

It's tender to touch. Under where the scab was it's a bit raised and smooth and very red but didn't bleed when the leathery top of the scab came off.

Now I think about it I can't remember how /why the scab initially appeared! 🤔

Do you think I should be concerned?

Excuse my stubble looking legs! The joys of being dark haired!

I think if it isn't healing in a week, I'd take it to a health care professional.

I get this (usually when stressed) and they can appear anywhere on my body. It's a mild form of psoriasis - usually take from 2 to 6 weeks to disappear completely. Diagnosed by my GP when I went to them about a BCC years ago, confirmed by dermatology when they removed the BCC. I don't treat them because I know they will resolve themselves. (I have a few at the moment but I've been very stressed!)

This. Slap some sudecreme on it daily and if not improved next week, get it checked.
