The NHS can be so astonishigly wonderful

Dh was released from hospital on Wednesday. Wednesday we get the O2 cylinder and the very spiffy O2 concentrator. Not only that, be we were told that we get refunded the cost of the electricity that the concentrator uses!!

I went and explained the situation to our GP yesterday and explained the need for some mobile O2 (the cylinder we have is HUGE!), in part because we are going on holiday tomorrow. And they rushed the paperwork through and we now have all the kit we needs.

Bloody fantastic!

(And I thought that about the NHS the other day when I tootled along to the GP with something that probably is minor but needs checking out, and realised how much less likely I would have been if it were something I'd had to fork out cash for.)
