Wound infection after Gallbladder keyhole Surgery

I had my gallbladder removed (keyhole) Tuesday and Friday noticed I was feeling unwell, saw the GP who said it was fine. Fast forward to Saturday morning I was very poorly and ended up in A&E where a wound infection was confirmed.

Feeling pretty down and anxious about it all. I was sent home with antibiotics, I feel much better than yesterday but it's still painful and I'm so paranoid about it getting worse. Has anyone been through the same thing and have any advice or positivity to share?!

Thanks!

My husband just had abdominal surgery and we noticed a week later how red and inflamed the incisions were. I sent him straight to the GP and the antibiotics kicked in within a few days. He’s right as rain now. Glad you’ve caught it and are getting treated!
