Nurse or doctor advice please on incision

I had open umbilical hernia repair a month ago, saw my consultant today who was pleased with my incision (after delayed healing).
The middle had weeped a bit but he wasn’t worried at all but I’m still swollen/carrying a bit of weight on my stomach so when I stand or walk around, my incision effectively folds in half and rubs and weeps, I can’t win!

I stuck some gauze in earlier and it seemed to attach to whatever was in the gap/hole area and pull it out…

How do I stop it weeping when I stand up or do I just persevere? I’m airing it out when sitting down.
