Sore throat for 3 weeks. Nothing has helped

I’ve had a sore throat for 3 weeks. Originally thought sinusitis because of snot (sorry TMI) but no facial pain. Have had a chesty cough at the beginning too.

i’m on week 3 if this sore throat and absolutely nothing is helping. Tried salt water rinses, throat sprays, painkillers and currently on antibiotics (for the suspected sinusitis) Nothing is helping.

Any suggestions please?

Cant help OP but I had/have something v similar. The sore throat now not so bad but my ear has been non stop cracking and popping. Part of me has wondered if this is a new covid strain?

Have you tried difflam throat rinse

Do you get hay fever? Have you tried antihistamines to see if they help?

Reflux? Every time I have a long lasting sore throat it turns out to be silent reflux. Maybe try some omeprazole or whatever the one is you can buy over the counter for a week and see if that works

Silent reflux ….i had this for 3 months and ended up with an endoscopy which confirmed it.

Hayfever?

Try an antihistamine.
