To think my elbow could actually be fractured.

On holiday just me and young DD. Yesterday I fall over, not sure how I landed as was more concerned for DD as she was crying. Turned out I scrapped all my elbow, cleaned it as best I could, put a dressing on it and left it at that. Wasn't much bother last night but this morning I woke up feeling unwell and shivering and with a lot of bruising around my elbow. Went to local MIU to get would properly cleaned and dressed and nurse queried that I may have fractured my elbow and has sorted for an x-ray tomorrow. It felt fine at this point and I didn't think I had fractured it as still has some movement, although not fully. I've carried on my day, driving, taking DD to the park and anything I would normally do (luckily injured arm is my left and my car is an automatic). Now my elbow really hurts, my arm aches and I keep getting pins and needles in my hand. Surely if it was fractured the symptoms wouldn't appear after 30 hours.

The pins and needles are a problem. It means that a nerve to you hand is being pinched somewhere, maybe by a bone that is fractured and out of alignment or by swelling. What color are your fingers? Are they warm, can you feel all the different sides of them in the same way that you can feel the fingers on your other hand.

At a minimum stop using the arm so you can immobilize it (and not damage it any more) and get to that xray asap. If your fingers go cold or blue or you loose sensation, go to ER

I’d go get it checked out and would raise that the nurse had queried it

Definitely needs checking but when I broke my elbow it was shooting electric shock like pain whenever it had any weight in that hand or tried to rotate my hand.

When i broke my wrist, it hurt alot when i did it but wasnt to bad that night
The next day it hurt more
