Pain size of orange lower back right

Hello

I have a pain in my lower back on the right hand side, just below my waistband.

I’m hoping it is a strained muscle or something. Are there any internal organs below the ribs? I’ve looked on google and the liver and kidneys seem much higher up.

The pain is definitely below my waistband and just above my hip bone and not really on my spine. Does anyone know what it might be?

Thanks Mumsnet 111.

There are muscles all over the place below your hip at the back. Prob pulled one? When did the pain start and what have you been doing it that could have strained it. My worst thing is lifting six packs of 1.5litre waters. And twisting from the trolley to the scanner/till. I need to remember not to.

Thanks for replying. I haven’t done anything much different. The pain started a couple of days ago and it feels quite tender inside.

Have a look at Sacroiliac pain - about the right area?
