Eyes not coordinating well - fatigue/ hormones/ BVD?

I’ve had a stressful few weeks of illness, viruses infections and a lot of stress and worry. So far doctors have only found low ferritin (iron stores) and normal but low vitamin d. I’ve had a CT scan and I’m waiting an MRI for some odd neurological symptoms. Ive been getting headaches, pins and needles, feeling dizzy and finding it hard to concentrate and as part of this I’ve had an eye check and OCT scan. The optician said my eye health is fine, but my eyes are struggling to coordinate and has prescribed mild prism glasses.

I am struggling to sleep properly at the moment but my eyes are really causing me distress and stressing me out. I have health anxiety and have been poorly for about 8 weeks so generally feeling run down.

She said it could be caused by fatigue but didn’t say much else.

What is it that I’m suffering from and when will it get better? Could this be hormone related? I’ve breastfed my youngest for 18 months and have only recently stopped - the GP thinks the deficiencies are linked to this. I also have very abnormal periods, but no one seems interested in following up on these.

Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated

Gosh, I literally could have written this! I ended up in A and E last week when my face and arm went numb and my GP told me to go straight to A and E in case it was a stoke. It wasn't a stroke but because of all the other things you mention. Headaches, dizziness, not knowing what day of the week it is, numbness and pins and needles and even the eye thing they're now investigating more. MS has been mentioned or something called cervical stenosis. My eyes hurt when I look to the edge of my vision. I've got the optician on Saturday. I'll keep you posted what they say!

Thanks for replying, sorry to hear you’re going through this too! Mine seems to have been triggered by a virus maybe made worse by low ferritin. I took myself to the optician who said my vision was great but the coordination lacking. I’ve looked up this online and the only thing I can find is BVD, so now I don’t know if I have mild BVD or if i just have fatigue and what to expect long term really. It’s so frustrating our health care system doesn’t really look holistically at what’s going on and just treats symptoms. I feel like a lot of stress and medication would be saved with a more proactive approach 😣 @weekfour
