What is this lump in my throat?

Apologies for the disgusting picture of my mouth...

On the left side of my throat, a bit further back than the tonsil, there's a fleshy lump. It's been there quite a while as I noticed it when I last had tonsillitis and had inspected my throat at that time. It didn't go away afterwards but also didn't get bigger or cause any issues so I forgot about it tbh.

Recently I've had what I assume is a throat infection and after looking at my throat again was reminded of this lump.

Any ideas? Of course I've googled but can't find anything that matches it.

I will be going to the gp to query with them also.

That’s your tonsil. The bit in the middle isn’t your tonsil- they are behind on each side

Hiya. It's not my tonsil. You can see my tonsil poking out a bit on that side....it's further back, separate and actually in my throat. The sort of oblong lump.

I've looked up throat cancer, polyps, cysts. Nothing looks quite right. A cyst is possibly the most likely?
