Anaemia and leg pain

Hi
This is my first time posting. I have been diagnosed with iron deficiency anaemia. Ferritin level 5. I’ve had a range of symptoms and been on iron tablets for around 5 weeks, my headaches are much improved. However I have really tight legs (feels like I can’t relax the muscles) and they are very achy. It’s not constant, so here for a few days and goes away. I’ve consistently had muscles twitches all over and random pins and needles.
Has anyone experienced this related to anemia? Or should I be going back to the GP? Thanks for your help

Hi, I had restless leg syndrome where my legs would ache for hours on a night time. This was linked to anaemia and now my ferritin is normal again I don’t have it anymore. Are you supplementing iron to get your ferritin levels up?

Thank you!! That’s reassuring to hear someone has had similar symptoms. I’ve been taking iron tablets for around 5 weeks now, so I was hoping for some improvement!
