I have had a cold on and off since xmas really, i think it is because my sinuses aren't clearing properly. Its also giving me a cough. DD has the same thing, she is 2.

I am producing loads of snot and mucus - been taking sudofed but doesnt seem to make any difference.

Any ideas how i can get rid once and for all, just seem to be producing more and more. Feel ok in myself other than that

I would suggest a visit to your GP. A cold since xmas seems a really long time, thats 5 (almost 6) months!!!
There must be something they can do. Hope its clears up soon

I know you can reduce snot by diet my dd has had a terrible time of it,dairy and sugar are the worst offenders - we went down the alternative route and it's cleared up, if you get no where with the doc I can recommend cranial osteopathy and herbalism. Would try former before latter, very good at a diagnosis.

Hi, we have been a bit the same in our house and my mum has suffered really bad. This last week she decided to take some anti-histimane (sp?) to help a heat rash she had and the sore sinuses and runny nose disappeared for the first time since Christmas! I tried it on me and my 2 yr old DS and both our coughs and runny noses have almost disappeared. I'm going to see doc to see if it's a suitable longer-term solution though, esp. for DS.
