Suspected Hemorrhoid - should you see someone?

I think I’ve got an external one. Never had one before. No bleeding or issues I am aware of otherwise. Should I see the nurse at the GP or similar to confirm that is what it is, to know it’s nothing worse? Should I give it so long to improve? It isn’t causing any issues, I’ve just noticed it in the last week. It is not improving nor getting worse.

Go to your pharmacy if you have any concerns. And soeak to pharmacist.,

It was mildly itchy the first day or so. Got some Germaloid that I put on a few times and it’s not itchy now. Just a hard pea sized lump.

Can be prone to a bit of health anxiety so mainly wanted to check if OK to self diagnose, it’s the first one I’ve knowingly had.

Get a treatment at the pharmacy and see how that goes. You don't need to see a GP or Nurse for this unless it starts causing issues.

Have you been coughing a lot recently? Just asking as I had covid, coughed for a month and I ended up in exactly the same predicament as you!

No Need to see Dr. Over the counter creams will sort you out. Keep it clean and dry. You'll be grand.

Don’t wear a thong (don’t ask how I know this 😬🤣)
