Sorry I couldn’t rotate the photo. 1st image is old prescription and 2nd is from today. To me there doesn’t look like much change. I did ask but got a very long drawn out explanation and I didn’t understand despite asking various questions. Just got a very hard sell.

having headaches but also have a lot on…

can any one advise?

TIA

Your reading prescription has increased and they have added an intermediate prescription, which will help if you sit at a desk looking at a computer screen all day.

I’ve just had a sight test because I’m doing more computer work for my job. My distance is unchanged but reading and computer are making me struggle and I am feeling eye strain. Did they say you would benefit from varifocals? I’m waiting for occupational varifocals.

If it helps, Asda opticians told me you just pay for the frame and that is the complete price, regardless if you need varifocals or just single vision.

Thank you, I have varifocals already. It’s not a big increase is it? Just wondering before I splash out on new glasses. That’s interesting re Asda I will give them a call.

Had really good experience with our Asda opticians and staff. Obviously varies from store to store. They include varifocal an ultra thin if required in their pricing. The only thing I pay extra for is reactolight. They have some reasonable price frames too. If it is only for close work maybe you could get a cheap pair to see if they make a difference and wear you old ones when out and about

0.25 increase for reading is significant enough to make a difference
