Hello all, feeling a bit worried and blue about this. I had an MRI of my head just over 3 weeks ago. The consultant report just landed with my GP. My GP rang and was vague she said "they want to repeat the scan in more detail to check the vessels and blood flow in the brain is all okay. She said the report said it could be 'artefactual' but they want to see the vessels in more detail i've no idea what that means. She said that without speaking to the neurosurgeon she couldnt tell me nore and now i am just anxiously waiting for a call. I am a single parent and terrified that my son who is two would be alone if i had something major wrong. I'm now worried she may of been saying it was a blood clot or aneurism. Has anyone had similar re the request for another scan relating to vessels and circulation in the brain and been okay. Of course i will ask more when the GP calls but am anxious and worrying about my little boy. It was 3 weeks and 2 days ago so am hoping it isn't a clot or aneurism as pressumably they'd say sooner? But no idea! Thanks lovely folk of Mumsnet. Just feeling a little down and worried for my little boy and my health..

What was the clinical reason for you having an MR of your brain to start with?

If it was life threatening you’d have been told at the time and treated.
