Slightly weird one- anyone been obsessed with crunching ice when they were NOT pregnant?

Condensed version is that for two of my three pregnancies I crunched ice cubes compulsively.

I know I am not pregnant despite being on the TTC treadmill for nearly 5 years -I've been having regular periods etc, but have started crunching ice like a crazy woman again. To the point of getting up in the night to get ice. It's driving me mad... I'll grind my teeth down.

I used to do it all the time when i was a kid and in early 20's. Have you checked your iron levels? Apparently the two are connected...

yep, me too.

i go through phases where it becomes a compulsion, then it wears off again. have LOTS of chipped teeth and have lost most of my fisher sealing due to ice crunching.
